Information Architects updated their Web Trends Map to version 4. If you are into web business, you are likely following today's online trends. A great number of influential trends are incorporated again. As with other trend related charts, the latest Web Trends Map is (still) open for review.
Good to see Drupal again where Dries Buytaert and Mark Boulton have been identified as Trend Setters. I only wonder how WordPress is connected to the "Filter" line, while Drupal is not. I would think Drupal equals WordPress in most respects, certainly on this line. Anyway, the latest Web Trends Map is again a great chart with lots of information that will keep you staring at it a good coffee break long. Great for hanging on your office wall too! Check out the way subway tubes and hubs are used for mapping out the trends. Lovely!
The filter line isn't very clear but I think that it shows the various resources that filter interesting news for users.
So google image search filters interesting pictures, stumbleupon filters interesting websites and wordpress filters interesting news articles. Besides being a CMS. wordpress is also a news blog.
